She was possessed of a devil, or demon, which is a person whose volition or will is dethroned, or controlled by an evil spirit. The mental faculties were unbalanced. Hence, the daughter was possessed of a plague. This plague, or disease, was cured by the Saviour. The Primitive Baptist, 1909.
