JOHN 21 vs 21

JOHN 21:21, C. H. Cayce Several months ago Sister Fannie L. Herring, of Bluffton, Ga., asked us who was referred to by Peter when he said to the Saviour, “And what shall this man do?” John 21:21. By reading a few preceding verses it may be clearly seen that he had reference to the one called the “beloved disciple.” John was called the beloved disciple. The Saviour seemed to have a special love for him, and he is often referred to as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” At least, he is referred to that way. He seems to have been mentioned in that way because he Saviour seemed to have special love for him. The Primitive Baptist, June 20, 1916.
