HEBREWS 10:38-39, C. H. Cayce “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition: but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” “The just shall live by faith.” God’s people live by faith. They walk by faith, and not by sight. They embrace the sweet promises of God by faith. They do not die, but live. “The life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”— GaL. 2:20. If God’s children draw back, and refuse to walk as the Lord requires, and fail to obey Him, they do not please Him. He has no pleasure in their disobedience. They may draw back, and live in disobedience to their Lord and Master, but they are not utterly cast down, for the Lord upholds them with His hand. Hence, they “are not of them that draw back unto perdition.” The Primitive Baptist, December 1, 1914.
