138 CORINTHIANS, 1st, 6:9-11, C. H. Cayce “And such were some of you, but are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”
The apostle shows that certain characters shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Then he tells the Corinthians that they were once in the same condition of these characters. “Such were some of you.” But the Lord bad cleansed them by His Spirit and had brought them out of their former condition. It was not done because of their good works, because they had not been doing good works. But since the Lord has washed them and cleansed them by His Spirit they are capacitated to do good works.
